Not a lot of time for shooting today - but for this kind of minimalist photography, the Z 26mm f/2.8 is well suited; it's generally a really useful little lens.

In this image, you see how well LoCA is controlled with this lens; a clear difference to its Z 28mm f/2.8 stablemate; also, core sharpness is visibly better, especially at shorter focus distances. AF is worse, no doubt about it, but certainly no dealbreaker. Bokeh's a little rough. All in all, I guess if you don't need the build quality (including sealing) and size advantage, you'll be probably just as happy with the cheaper lens. For me, the Z 26mm f/2.8 is a welcome addition to my compact travel kit (Z 6 with a prime and a zoom) because it allows me to turn the Z 6 into a compact all-weather camera. Neat.

Nope, I didn't take the lens off and pour dust on the sensor!
Arrived in Columbus this afternoon to heavy snow squalls.
In fact, the pilot aborted our first landing attempt due to white out! 😟
After getting to my hotel, this was the view out the 12th floor window near sunset.

There's been a bit of a resurgence of the 40 mme focal length in the last 10 years. The FL seems to lend itself to small/pancake lenses.

Dang. Your life might have been in danger, but at least you got a cool shot.
