Hay rake?
Not like any I've seen around here John. These were used to rake the hay into rows to be later picked up with a loader. I remember this as a young kid. When balers came along a side delivery rake was used which kind of spun the hay and cast it to the side in a row. Like spinning thread it caused the hay to stick together and make it easier to get drawn into the baler.
