GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Desires Big and Small

My latest desire would be for shipping companies to get their businesses running correctly.

Wasted the entire day waiting for delivery with signature required. All day tracking indicated delivery today even though package was scanned as sitting in Tucson all day.

Just updated with "delayed". No explanation. No update on next attempted delivery.

At my location, UPS and FedEx have both gotten so bad even the Postal Service does a better job and they have had a bad rep for decades.

My Stressless ergonomic armchair and footstool just arrived.

It's bliss ... :) ...

Photos will follow.

Stressless is one of the recliners I'm considering to replace my current recliner when it wears out.
I can definitely recommend them at this stage, Gordo.
After nearly 20 hours of ownership ... ;) .

After trying one, I opted to avoid the ones with the built-in, motorised foot rest. The separate footstool is easy to walk around, or move out of the way with my foot. It's not "perpetually in the way" as these things tend to be.

Biggest issue I have with recliners is that most aren't the correct size for my body. One that fits makes a huge difference in comfort. Not sure if they make one my size, will be doing more research starting later this year.

Appreciate, Gordo. Totally agree, and the first thing the salesman (store manager) said to us.

Many models of their range are made in small, medium and large. Some are only medium and large. It's important to buy one that fits, of course.

Mine is medium. My wife has opted for the small version.

What I like about the Stressless design is that there are no levers or set positions. In their non-motorised versions, all movements are continuous, and controlled by shifting one's body position. Resistance to movement is controlled by tightening or loosening the knobs on the side rails. It's easy to do while sitting in the chair.

@MoonMind Matt, like many of us, I've got so many bags lying around that it's almost certain that at least one will fit whatever kit I've put together ...

There are a couple that I can't even think why I bought them in the first place!
You're right, of course. However, if it comes to usable (for me!) backpacks, I only have the one, and it's definitely on the small side ...

Best one I ever bought was a TStar, on sale for about AUD 18 ...

I've got two other backpacks. Both are really too big and unwieldy, except for in the car. A litter of smaller shoulder bags. Three of them are for my three basic kits.

Stressless chairs are nice, we had one several years ago. The only thing we didn't like is the head part was not adjustable. Great for relaxing, but not when we want to read, watch TV, etc.
At least some models have manually adjustable headrests, David.

I think mine adjusts somewhat, automatically. I will have to check.

{Edit} I just checked. The headrest does adjust automatically as the chair reclines. {End edit}

They do come in a fairly wide variety of prices here.

Several years was really an understatement. We probably bought it 20 years ago. Somewhere I have pictures of our cats as kittens in the chair, they're almost 15 now.

I got a hankering for the Sigma 56mm, f/1.4 for m4/3 and the Fujifilm X-pro2.
Let me give you a hand with that:

Here's the 56 gallery :

And I used the 56 for one of the month's challenges, here's a sample:

I just noticed the Nikon Z5 is $996 body only and $1296 with the Z 24-50. I’m tempted. Of course, the way this usually works is that I will resist buying the Z5 and give into buying the Fuji XT5.
I tried the X-T5 and will again. REALLY like the 2 way tilting LCD. I do a lot of off-angle shooting, so that's great. Didn't like the grip when holding it up to my eye.

The 2-way tilt is genius and far more useful than I anticipated. It becomes really noticeable when I use the X-T20 with it's 1-way tilt just how useful it is.
