"Seriously Compact", Minox DSC

Product of the Fifties
As opposed to a "Serious Compact"...

I picked up a Digital Minox a couple of weeks ago, cheap on Ebay.

Minox Digital Spy Camera 5.0 Megapixel, 128 MB METAL BOX 60658 NEW | eBay

$149, including a 16GByte class 10 micro-SD, 2GB micro SD, and other accessories worth at least $50 or so.

Picture Quality- probably about the same as the 5MPixel camera in my wife's Droid phone. My cell phone does not have a camera.

It's so little!

about the same size as a classic Minox film camera. Nice build quality as well.

"5MPixel" interpolated from a 3.2MPixel CMOS sensor.

Most annoying issues: ~0.5s shutter lag taking the image, and no time/date stamp. Electronic Shutter, very quiet.

But easy to hold in the palm of your hand, just like the original.

The cute and sentimental value got me on this one. As a teen-ager, I used a Minolta 16 quite a bit.

Spy Mode... Need to remove the "Hot Mirror" and use an IR filter over the flash.
