Changes

Hmm, kickbacks you say? I might well use some kickbacks to make this whole next phase of life's adventure work out, Armando.:D Phoenix, get your frequent flyer miles lined up and we'll give you a place to stay. Russ, Christina, Kal - your very kind. Fortunately we all remain virtual neighbors.(y)

When I clicked on 'changes' I didn't expect this! however I do wish you lots of luck with the move and hope every thing goes well.
Thank-you for all the help you've given me during my time on this Site BB.
Will look forward to seeing your posts and input when you can.

Changes, changes, they're everywhere! Even the changes have changes. We had planed to move back to AK, but then decided we were too old and tired to start over again. So, we're staying put. So hope your change works for you. All the best, and thanks for the friendly helping hand around here.

Hey, BB. You have done an awesome job as admin! I am a fairly new member, having joined during your reign :)biggrin:), seriously, I think you are a big part of why the culture is so awesome here at SC.

I am really glad you will still participate as a member. Look forward to seeing pics of your new pad - good luck with the move!

Thank you very much for all your support, great work, and time spend on this forum with us. I haven't been a member long but I have seen the work that is done here since the old serious compacts website, well done! Hope to still see you on the forums...

The internet is generally a cold and bitter place.... not when you're around. Your kind words kept me from quitting the SiJ challenge more than a couple times. Your vision is inspired (and informed). It hasn't fully taken root yet, but your composition and processing style has made an indelible stamp on the way I see a scene. I hope I can infuse it with my own Lukinosity, but I also hope when people see my photos that they see a bit of you in them. Please don't be a stranger. All the best with the move!

This is one of the most genuinely touching things that I think I have ever read. Not only is this a testament to the sensitivity of our own Spock McLuke, but a reflection of how BB has touched each of us.

I've had the benefit of talking to BB off-line - as we need to as the Mod Squad. But can I just say publicly that BB is a one of a kind human being whose tenderness and compassion are exemplary. I won't miss her dearly, only as she will still be sticking around to keep her benevolent eye on us - albeit it as a regular visitor and Emeritus! ;) But I will miss her guidance and level-head when it comes to things Mod and I fear the reign of terror that will ensue with just us two Aussie blokes at the helm. :drinks:

My better half reminds me that it is a rare woman that can tolerate me. And BB has done so with perfect aplomb.

Best of luck with the future my dear dear friend!

You guys are going to make me cry. Luke you are crazy - you are your photos!:bravo-009: I'm going to print this out...for my "memorial file". I'm very honored and deeply touched. If I can live up to 1/100th of that which you've said, I will feel very good.

Mark, it hadn't hit me about the "reign of terror" from Down Under, until Nic wrote to me pointing it out - two Aussies in charge - OMG!:D:drinks:

It has been a honor and privilege and I have to thank our fearless founder Amin for offering me the opportunities to be helpful on both sites - and for answering all my PMs.;)

I'll keep you all posted if this whole "move" idea comes to pass...lots o' variables, as you know.

P.S. Steve regarding you and your wife staying put and not moving back to Alaska, though I doubt you are "too old", I do know that often the best laid plans end up changing and have faith that your northern children will be glad to have you visit in the summers.(y) Kyle, we have been virtually together for a long time, haven't we? When I first read your post, I thought you meant you wanted pix of my new pad as in my new iPad (which I do not have, by the way for all who know of my obsession with it!0 - but I promise if we make the move I'll bombard you all with pictures. I'll give Bill in France a run for his money with renovation photos.;) And serhan, thank you, too - and it's a credit to SC to have such an old timer around as a member.:flowers_2:

Wow, hate to see you move on BB from an admin.:sad010: I'm glad you will still be around here and I hope if you move, it will be a great and happy move.

I'm tired of moving around. For the last few years, I always take into account how heavy something is before I buy it since we have moved so much over

the years. Now my wife tells me to forget about how much something weighs.

It's true that internet forums, especially photo related, can be a cold and unforgiving place, full of trolls and demons, whiners and know italls. Is that a word?

This place is pretty much free of all that. A lot of the reason this place is free of all that is due to people like you BB. :D
