Micro 4/3 Panasonic LX / Leica D-LUX Image Thread

Wow, what a difference a few hours make!

Michael - wonderful photograph. Wow. Definitely early morning!

Javier, thanks for your original. As for your "either or" - I vote for your second version! However, if I may be so bold - I'd love to see that first one cropped down from the top to just above the one way sign - then I think I'd change my vote in a flash. See what you think. It's your image and it's a really good one, too.

olli, thank you so much for taking the time and giving me the "how to's" on your color. I've been very impressed from the outset and am going to have some fun trying out these LR pointers. There's so much to learn and I tend to use trial and error mixed in heavily with personal advice.;) By the way, I really like this latest one of yours - there's something that makes me smile about that sign. I don't know if it's because it looks like a storybook or what. Of course I have no idea what it says.

Thank you. Please feel free to crop it and post it as you see fit. I would love to see it. :)

Javier,

Regarding the one you re-posted, I like the original better, or at least liked it better in B&W. I think the high contrast worked pretty well. So, good instincts, as the follow-up showed!

As to the other two, I like the second one better, focussed on the reflection without including the ACTUAL building...

Javier, number two for me too. I think in the first one there is too much space in the middle of the image between the reflection and the elements reflected. Pulling in tight on the reflection looks cleaner and simpler with more punch.

Michael, like your treatment of the razor wire. Some of the razor bits in the central part of the image look almost like butterflies.

Sorry for hogging this thread a bit - maybe I should start a new Didi Digomi thread as the one and only contributor.:)

I really love these images and these types of images. old Buildings with character. Abandoned and beat up or simply old.

Michael, this is a very interesting image. That sky is wild - when I first saw this earlier the reflected light in the room I'm in must have been too bright since I didn't see all the nuances of color - wow! The trees on the far left...and then the bit of what I'm thinking has to be the Hudson river showing...with some fencing... Well it's just beautiful.
