Will do Andy! So what's up with this weather you all are having? You don't normally have it this cold with snow so soon do you?

It's been a nightmare here!! We were told we would get less than 3" on Tuesday and we got well over 2 foot by Friday morning!!!!!! I live on a hill so i have been cut off all week. It is now thawing like mad so hopefully most of it will be gone by Monday but we have more snow on the way on Tuesday! Humph!!!

Driving along today - a miserable day, weather wise - it's been a little cold but was about 5 degree C

well driving along, minding my own business then suddenly we were "surrounded" - in front, to the left, right and overhead

obviously migrating - no idea what they are, but I'll look it up and try to find out - SW France Gironde, 20 miles inland from Bordeaux, to the S East

Bill, do they have Starlings or Grackles in France? That is what this flock reminds me of - just so you know, I used to hang out with some serious birders.;) You need to get yourself a good bird book! Is this the same event in which you were having issues with some spots on one of your micro four thirds cameras or was it you M8?

I do like the picture - there is something very compelling and a bit ominous about a massive migration photo. Perhaps it is the indelible influence of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"?:D
