Before I begin the agonising task of trying to get info out of Adobe - has anyone else had trouble updating adobe camera raw to 7.1 for OM-D raw support in lightroom?

I'm on a mac, LR4.1RC with ACR 7.0

I have downloaded ACR7.1 but every time I try to install it, it jumps out to adobe application manager and says "Update Failed....this patch is not applicable to you blah blah blah..." therefore I don't have raw support in lightroom for my just arrive OM-D... aaaarrggggghhhhhhh.

Anybody else get this or on an mac and have ACR 7.1 installed?

Also, within lightroom if I try to update it says interent or adobe server is down (internet is definitely not down).

thanks

One does not need ACR for Lightroom and one cannot even install ACR for any version of Lightroom. Just update to the current release candidate of Lightroom 4.1, which supports the E-M5.

Thanks, In the time between when I posted that and now it seems Adobe have released 4.1 proper which I am downloading as we speak. I was using 4.1RC (release candidate) which didn't support OM-D raw (on my machine anyway).
So hopefully all will be well again after the lengthy download and install.
'pictor' I thought lightroom does use ACR although it may be embedded in the guts of LR itself? Otherwise how does it do the raw conversion? When you click on the "about photoshop lightroom" thingy from the menu it tells you the LR version and the ACR version. In my (current) case LR 4.1RC and Camera Raw 7.0

ACR is a plugin for Photoshop. The Develop module of Lightroom does the same as ACR in Photoshop and uses the same code basis as ACR, but it is no extra module like ACR in Photoshop. It is a fixed part of Lightroom.

Correct if you have the latest Lightroom release that supports your camera RAW thats all you need even if you export to PS :)
