"J" birthday boy.
Each of the kids had these plastic toys shaped like lizards.
When I held one of them it had this sticky intriguing and awful feel in your hand.
I did discover that I could roll them up up like a snowball and watch as it unwrapped itself on my palm. Curious but hardly satisfying.
I didn't even consider the use pictured here until it was demonstrated.
Then it was a test of my photographic preparation and response as interest in this faded quickly too.
Happy B-day 7.

Always something surprising coming along - but you were there at the ready with your trusty X10.

There's a poetic feel to this little toy and boy reaching up. Happy birthday!

I like how it shows the natural curiosity and wonder and lust for experimentation in children :)
nice composition too with the expanse of empty wall, as if to accentuate that bubble kids can be in when they're playing with something, as if the rest of the world doesn't exist

Very intriguing image. Something very compelling about it that makes me wonder what the story is, or could be.

Would it be better without the ventilation grill? Not sure.

The composition is great, with the small boy reaching up to the sticky stuff that lies above him. The soft colors are very nice as well.

Excellent shot, caught in that moment. You must have been very quick. I love the whole thing but might have been tempted to crop the upper left, its only tiny, but for me at least is a bit of a distraction.

My grandsons had these geckos too. I like the minimalist style of the expanse of wall and for me the vent has a place by hinting to more.

Absolutely brilliant image this. The composition is excellent. But the stand-out is the processing - that's an amazing colour profile!!!
