small project 01
This is an oldie. 25+ years.
I thought I had lost the original transparency some time ago and had come to terms with it.
A "limited edition" I thought.
Both of the prints I had having already been purchased.
"I'm thinking about the way that lost things always come back
Looking like something else
A fishing pole, a shoe, an old shirt, a lucky day..."
Last evening I found the whole small project in a box with a couple prints of David Vestals's that I had stored with some empty frames.
It pleases me very much, as this photograph and the Vestal prints mark an important time for me.
One of the dye transfer prints from the original is part of the permanent collection displayed in the State of Illinois Center in Chicago.
What a great present!
