I like the grittiness of this very much, as well as the high contrast...the shadows coming in on a slant, the lines on the pavement...and the buildings in the background that seem to be bathed in fog or mist - and that dark palm tree on the right really helps counterbalance the man walking hands in pocket down into the town. It's fun to try different styles - as well as subject matter. Very nicely done!

Lots for the eye to take in - I like the gradation from dark to light.

This picture gives me a feeling of loneliness. And hope.

the light is great and the lines from the shadows lead the eye right through the frame. A great shot.
