SIJ 2015 - Day 16

Foggy Lines. 160s f/5.6 ISO200 shot at 150mm.

Just got back from breakfast and with this minor heatwave, the ground being so cold we got a nice fog. I wanted to go back out and get a different shot but by the time I would have been ready the color and everything wouldn't have been there, so I resorted to this one.

When it's cold out I usually stick my lens in a ziplock bag and set it outside to get to the temperature it is outside with out fogging up. I read somewhere to do that but am I being too protective of my gear? Does anyone else do anything like that or do they just grab the camera and go shoot?
Stunner, gorgeous colours. RE ziplock bags and temp differences... it probably is a good idea, you dont want condensation inside the lens. Weatehr resistant gear is good at times like this, but even that is not immune if the inside and outside are too different.

Wow, thumbnail just demand one to click this bigger. And photo itself, kind of mystical. Congrats!
