SIJ Day#6

We had some great weather today so I loaded the dogs into the car and took a 5 minute drive to Lake Michigan. There is a lone duck or some other waterbird swimming away from me. This is a 2 shot vertorama yielding this squarish shot. The first shot of the rocks and the second of the water, then stitched.
Great with the symmetry, but also the breaking of that by the lone waterbird. And very nice soft colors.

Excellent composition Luke. The strong lines, both vertical and horizontal, leave invite the eye to explore the image and it (well mine is anyway) left with a feeling of calm. It could sit and watch this for some time....

Nice and clever too. The water looks inviting, following the path with my eyes I just want to dive in.

REally nice work, Luke. I like the juxtaposition of the vertical and horizontal lines in this. Don't think I'd want to swim though, looks cold.

Good use of stitching but I'd like a touch more saturation - I know others will like the pastel tones.

Very interesting - I like the clarity and saturation of the breakwater. I'd never have guessed it was more than one picture, Luke.

Lake Michigan was such a revelation to me when I first saw it...down on the shores of Milwaukee. I never realized there was a lake so big that I couldn't see the other shore! Hey, isn't it supposed to be a Milwaukee winter up there?
