SIJ - Day 11
Captive Light
Not much chance for photography today - and not the weather to take on the Grass either...thank goodness!!

Found this image this morning, in the corner of my old garage. Well it was once the garage and is now the dog kennel - OK it's a big 'kennel' but we do have a lot of dogs  It was first thing in the morning - the sun only minutes up and I noted the play of light in the corner. Intriguing but at the same time this innocent space looked a little ominous.

Played a little with the curves, contrast and saturation in LR. I thought the image showed a nice range for the 'out-moded' MFT sensor of the GF1 - almost has a HDR look to it. But then again that's the beauty of diffused morning light...
Very much an example of photography being "painting with light", and a very good example of producing something interesting from something so simple as the struts in a corrugated building. Nicely observed Mark and a fine example of rising to the challenge of SIJ.

Lovely quality of light making the mundane appear interesting. I have looked at this for over a minute, just enjoying the play of light and shape.

An oil painting, again! An old master...just like you, Mark. Really truly beautiful.

yes, it seems to have escaped the fate of so many sensors that automatically produce degraded images as soon as other new cameras are introduced ... I expect when the new Fuji is released my E-P2 will instantly lose most of it's pixels
