SIJ Day#11 - Ice/Water/Leaves

Dutifully drove to a park, fired off some shots, processed this and posted. Feeling the post 1/3 doldrums pretty hard. I thought about quitting and then decided "F--k it". I'm gonna find some new inspiration tomorrow morning....and if not, it'll be the next one.

On a side note, I'll finally have some snow to photograph tomorrow.....probably a whole lot (and likely a sore back from shoveling most of it).

Peace.

I'm with Bob....I like the merging of the twigs and branches on two separate planes.

Stick with it mate, 'coz I'd miss you images seriously otherwise.

That's just great, the softened breaking into thirds is wonderful, and the colours nice and seasonal.
Keep going!

Clever use of thirds - nice reflection and the texture in the leaves make this very interesting. Hang in there mate.

Nice one Luke! I love reflection shots of podles. Hmmm ... not even sure if I spelled podles right? Sorry if I didn't. It's 2 a.m.!

Luke, that's my type of photograph, a landscape in miniature, good observation of what is available to use at our feet.

I'm glad you're sticking with it, Luke. I was about ready to give you a go team go - it's Thursday pep talk.

To my eyes, the colors are very reminiscent of film - perhaps it was the late afternoon sun, or maybe your post processing...but either way, it's worked out wonderfully. The warmth of the leaves, broken by the reflection and then that ice are inviting...

Well, I guess we knew Milwaukee would have to get its winter weather, eh? Looking forward to your snow scenes - I hope we get some, too!

The color rendition in this image is beautiful, Luke. Don't give up, as long as you can share this kind of images with us.
