SIJ - Day 14   First Light
Just a short walk across one field (half way to the estuary) to catch the pre dawn. The trees are a line of Small-leaved Limes (the Linden tree), prehistorical pollen records suggest this had been the commonest tree in the UK, now rather uncommon and a sign of an ancient woodland. Most were cleared because the land they grew on was prime agricultural land. These are in a hedge bank and might be quite aged.
No tranquil dawn is this as a keen wind is springing up from the east.
Old trees, moody morning, with a change in weather,maybe, worth the short walk in chilly wind. I like it a lot.
 
I really like this although I think it could potentially look better if you could see more of the lower portion of the trees stretching into the distance.
