SIJ day 16-Paradise Captured
As I went to Fedex to drop off the GXR 28 I am returning, I spotted these beautiful Bird of Paradise in full bloom, so I thought for a change of pace, I thought I would show what the X10 can do with very little post processing in color, PS,
Lens (mm): 28.4
ISO: 400
Aperture: 4
Shutter: 1/500
Exp. Comp.: -0.7
Such a striking flower - and I had no idea they grew in our country ! Gorgeous, Bob.

Thanks, that is what I was trying to show, the little X10 can do color really, really well. The flower (Strelitzia reginae) is originally from South Africa but since the 1800s are now found all over, the became so common here that it became the official flower of the City of Los Angeles.
Also I shot the flower form directly above, most are seen more from the side, where they look more like the bird.

gorgeous! One thing the small sensor cameras can do so well is Macro!
Superb example here

There's a few of these in our parts, so you're dead right Bob. The X10 nailed the colours just beautifully!
