SIJ - Day 26 A shower clearing east
Yet another quick post breakfast dash up the hill behind my cottage, thankfully not all the way this time. This is the next to last (it was an equally quick dash home to avoid the last) of the early morning blustery showers after some heavy overnight rain.
Could it be that the ghost of that tragic hero Michael Henchard (The Mayor of Casterbridge) is making his way down the lane behind the hedgeline?
Love the symmetry created by the silhouette of the choking trees and the shape of the incoming clouds. Also love where you've placed the light in the composition.

Such a beautiful sky...and the deep, completely dark silhouettes of the trees are such a great counterpoint to the light and bright clouds... Those trees do seem to be reaching...and the vines that have encircled them have created other beings...they could be wild hounds straining to be let go...or dragons?

Barrie, there's a great richness to this image which makes me wish I were walking there, too.

I'm so glad you ventured forth!

It's pouring here...and I'm hoping for a break in the weather.
