The SIJ is motivating me to take some shots I'd been meaning to take for quite some time, but never got around to taking. This light installation is in the lobby of my university's T building, and I loved it the first time I saw it.
I made several shots of it, and I like this one best compositionally, with the 2 other images gradually gaining more context in exchange for compositional strength (in my opinion, at least, although part of me really wants to submit the Christmas tree shot!).
A beautiful piece of artwork, but I've got to say that my favorite is your third one. I wrote my comments over there for you. It's easy to see why you've been so drawn to this lighting installation, it is beautiful. They look like lovely shells to me.
