SIJ 2015 - Day 1
Hanging Around. 1/200 sec f4.6 ISO200 shot at 66mm of the 40-150.

Taking the picture wasn't the hard part. The hard part was choosing which one to use. I chose this one because I like the perspective and the fact that its January and this set of leaves is still hanging on.
We seem to haunt similar countryside, Jared. Just this morning I was noting all the oak leaves that have hung on here too - and then suddenly one will take off and I think it's a hawk! Definitely a winter feel!

Argh. The bane of my fall existence. Good detailed closeup nonetheless. Good mono treatment too.

This is the kind of leaf that makes a lovely crackling sound when walked upon. Too bad it's still in the tree. ;-) But it does make a great picture.
