Photo of a friend's son taking a photo; we'd both just been in the "secret" area to shoot photos of the pin setting machines; quite cool in there and I'd never seen how it was done before. Daniel had an assignment to shoot 20 photographs that were "self-explanatory" so I chose this one of the group for that reason.

I tweaked the colours and grain a little to hint at notalgia / film, feeling it fit with the bowling lanes if not incongruous with the little portable camera Daniel is holding. These lanes have been in the operating family's hands for three generations now.

+1 for the filmic quality, not sure if it's noise or grain introduced during processing, but it works!

I like the documentary feel of this composition, like something's going on and you're in for the ride!

I think it's fun and refreshing to go out with a younger person photographing... A change of pace, I'd think - and a different point of view. I like the feeling of the shared moment, Mike.
