SIJ - Day 11
The direction, this road, goes straight ahead. The fog of the day before disappeared and a small hill can be seen at the horizon. These are merely the Dutch Mountains.
I like the tone choice. I've taken a number of shots like this and they don't work as well.
love the tonality and composition, well seen. You did well in tough lighting :)
Looks like a well traveled country road Wouter. I can only imagine how it may have looked earlier with fog. Enchanting yet could be foreboding as well.
You're getting a wonderful amount of texture, detail and tone in your shots of the last few days - would you mind telling us any PP secrets you have?
I shoot color jpegs with my GF1. Use Silver Efex Pro and apply a sephia preset. I kind of crush the s-curve to lower the brightest point. Additionally I make the grain a bit finer. After that I apply a preset in Lightroom that has a very mild s-curve and some duo toning with yellow tint for the highlights and more green for the shadows. Just don't worry about noise or whatever. The treatment in combination with the jpegs gives for me pleasing texture.
