SIJ - Day 16 Derelict Byre
Well it's mid afternoon, the cloud has all evaporated and I'm lacking inspiration today so I'm going with one of my safeties from this morning.
I walked down the estuary as the sun was rising, managed to pass that line of trees I posted on day 14 and made it to the water, but something was lacking.
I ended up in this derelict cowshed which I've attempted before. This time the light entering the hole in the wall was partially balanced by early sun shining in through the door opening to the right. This decreased the extreme contrast and also gave a slight warming to the stone.
Well that's my story anyway, so here it is. Things didn't quite gel today.
A good find, Barrie....or "revisit". You appear to live in and around an area filled with photo opportuinities.

Bob's suggestion might be worth trying out to see what you think.

Nice composition and range of browns here Barrie. This place looks equally at home in the Middle East or Australia as it does in Britain. I like the glimpse of intricate detail seen through the hole in the wall.

It doesn't look the safest of safety shots (crumbling walls) but an interesting shot.
