SIJ - Day 2
Well I'd certainly not intended another safe garden shot, but I didn't take my own advice and neglected the early morning safety. So by photography time the clouds came over and it bucketed down with rain. Still pelting down on my iron roof. Love that sound

So focused here on the texture of this leaf. Again I could have gone with a little more depth of field (shot at f2.8), but I was mindful of still obfuscating the messy background.

Hope you enjoy the texture and structure of the leaf patterns....oh and that you can spy the droplet making its inevitable way to the Earth.
full of lovely textures and tones, and a hint of almost solarised effects on the slightly oof areas.
really good work

Nicely timed capture Mark, that drop looks as though it's just ready to fall. I grew up in a bungalow with a corrugated iron roof, so that comment takes me back to my younger days.

I love the contrast between the strong dark stems and veins and the delicate tracery of the leaves.

the little droplet makes it for me. Actually, using the word obfuscate was my favorite part. I'm a big fan of that word.
