SIJ - Day 2
Well I'd certainly not intended another safe garden shot, but I didn't take my own advice and neglected the early morning safety. So by photography time the clouds came over and it bucketed down with rain. Still pelting down on my iron roof. Love that sound

So focused here on the texture of this leaf. Again I could have gone with a little more depth of field (shot at f2.8), but I was mindful of still obfuscating the messy background.

Hope you enjoy the texture and structure of the leaf patterns....oh and that you can spy the droplet making its inevitable way to the Earth.
Indeed, the droplet makes the image. Very fine graphical structures through the lines of the nerves, and then the tiny round drop of light in the right. Well caught.

No excuses needed, Mark! This is a stunning close up. There's a kind of surreal feel to my eyes, at first, but the more I look the more I see and the light coming through that main leaf looks like silver. The droplet is magical, too.
