SIJ - Day 21
Zulma

Still feeling under the weather, so my wife suggested a portrait at home. Again, two Canon 580EXIIs fired from my Lumix G3 with an ST-E2 transmitter. Not insignificant amount of post processing.
Lucky guy to have such a willing and beautiful model to pose for you!

Great processing - I thought it was a b&w at first. Love the subtle colours in the wrap. Nailed that lighting too..

lovely balance of softness and detail. The hint of color is perfect.

Beautiful, soft and subtle.

You may be under the weather, however your eyes and technique haven't failed you, Antonio. I believe this is one of your best portraits of your wife.

Print worthy.

Antonio, I absolutely love this portrait!!!!

The pose is excellent as is the lighting (especially as it falls on the shoulders and fabric) and the colour treatment. But most of all the expression between photographer and muse. Zulma doesn't need to make eye contact, nor do we need a shot of your taking this image, to see the power of the relationship. I'm tempted to say congratulations to you - but really it is a congratulations to you both for having found and nurtured this bond.

BTW: Seems the PL25 does OK as a portrait lens too. ;)

Antonio,
Very compelling portrait!
Nice use of light. Looks like two of them.
The stronger/closer/harsher of the two from behind reminds me of some of Clarence Bull's portraits.
This photograph has a quality that I think you'll enjoy for quite some time.
