SIJ - Day 21
Burning through the fog

Was a relief that it was the weekend so I could shoot in earnest, but it was dreadful weather. Sat in a cloud for most of the day. Just glad I snuck this shot early in the morning as the sun struggled to burn through the fog. It almost made it too...but the cloud prevailed but for that brief moment the reflections off the soaked grass and the hue made everything iridescent. Honestly the photo does not do it justice.

Stitched a three images together here to get a feeling for the sweep of the scene...apologises for the size.
Classic. Glad you didnt BW it, the colour is gorgeous. I can imagine the r/l look. Love it.

What a beautiful vision to wake up to. I'm listening to Mozart's Coronation Mass...on the radio and your glorious photograph came up.

All those miles driving to and fro, the hard work you and yours put in...all is worth it for what you have there before you, Mark.

Stunning. Have a really good print made as soon as possible. Don't let this one go.

Love the bright greens contrasting with the ominous weather.
Looks very English, could be a view on my farm.

I hope your apology about the size is because you wish you had posted a larger one. This is gorgeous!

great photo! Love the wide crop, it's perfect for this shot. Also the contrast between the watery sunlight reflecting off the grass and the dark clouds in the sky, with the silhouette of the trees, is wonderful. Really, really nice!
