SIJ - Day 5
Bit of a struggle for my day five. I'd taken my safeties in the morning, and thought they'd do the trick. Busy, then, for the rest of the day with driving to town and then the city to get supplies for humans and horses. With dying light I thought I'd process the day's images and found the safeties didn't really quite cut it. I peked through the curtains and saw that the house was enveloped in a deep fog. So I rugged up - well mainly rugged the camera up to avoid penetration by water (we all need a decent WR compact system!).

Liked this shot best of my front paddock. Mowed down a few days ago, I though it provided some interesting shapes and lines.

Ahhhh reminiscent of a Scottish summer, a Scottish autumn, a Scottish winter, and a Scottish spring! I like the way the squiggly lines draw my eyes towards the trees. I like it in black and white, but am curious to see it in colour.

Like Briar, I like how the lines wiggle about into the distance where they start fading away. I'm curious about the colour too, although I have the feeling this might be one of those rare photos I prefer in black and white...

Thanks for the encouragement folks.

For those curious minds, I found the colour version pretty flat and uninspiring - but that does betray my bent towards black and white.

Here's the OOC image thumbnailed (just click if you really need to see it bigger) for your viewing (well let's be honest, more your "comparative") pleasure.

I think it's a little bit cheery in color.....and the world can always use that. Great shapes.
