SIJ - Day03 The 09:15 from Dartmouth

The 09:15 from Dartmouth, due Plymouth 11:32 taken passing through East Charleton at 10:15 with Julie at the wheel, thankfully only about 3 minutes late since I'm out in the elements in my neighbours garden.
I had four shots on the shortlist today, all trying to catch the storm, but I'm not really happy that any of them have satisfied my expectations, it has been the most difficult choice so far, and I still think I've got it wrong.
I'm glad she wasn't too late, since minutes after taking this the rain was really tropical for several minutes.
Glad you avoided the rain Barrie - I like the radial set of power lines - most unusual.

The weather is like that here - only a bit warmer - miserable as I have to keep our three wood burning stoves "charged"

it does remind me of the UK and I can feel the weather thru your image

Very dynamic image here Barrie! I think it's down to the fact there's hardly a horizontal like in the image. All diagonals and verticals. Compositionally, I really like the strength of the white painted lines on the road vs. the opposing white lines created by the headlights vs. the white "20" circles.

Just hope you had your Wellies on mate ;)

Definitely feeling the dampness, Barrie! Thank goodness Julie came around the bend when she did! I, too, find the headlight's reflections on the wet street to be quite nice - and I love the graphic "designs" on the road - those circled numbers and the "morse code" running on the slant!

I think you've got more going on here than you may have realized Barrie. That bus looks as though it's practically careening around the corner to get to you before you're soaked! Great feeling in this one, to me.
