Williamstown Timeball Lighthouse

I'm feeling a tad bit better today so I went for a drive nearby and took a photo of this timeball tower which also served as a lighthouse in the late 1900's
An impressive night shot, Phoenix.

I had to look up "timeball tower" to learn that it was a tower built so that ships at sea could know the time. I'd never heard of that before.

You're doing awfully well at handling these almost lightless situations...and your framing of this one is so well balanced...with the tiny lights on either side as well as the hints at the top of the tower. Very dramatic and powerful, even in the dark.
This one caught my eye in the thumbnail view. I love old stonework buildings. This one is classic. Night and lighting add a bit of mystery. Good balance in metering.
Luke nailed this one - stark, dark and lovely. Sure is a nice shot Phoenix, glad you're back on your feet and hitting the night's streets.
