This morning I saw 4 new bird species I had never seen before, just because I saw movement in the bushes, and figured I would try to see what they were. These are two of them, a White-Breasted Nuthatch (According to the Merlin App) and a Western Meadowlark.

Another shot from this morning, but this time a Mountain Bluebird taking flight heading towards it's mate.

This morning, on my way home from photographing Bluebirds, I spotted this Northern Harrier sitting on the hillside, and by the time I could swing the camera around, it took flight and I snapped a few shots at a much higher shutter speed than I needed.

I went out into the hills nearby at the crack of dawn to try and capture some shots of the Mountain and Western Bluebirds, it was a fairly successful morning.

I wouldn't call this a great photo, but just one of a bird in a bush, near the spring that flows through our property. If the Merlin App is correct, it's a House Sparrow.

Say's Phoebe, what an odd name for a common looking little bird, this one was sitting on the barbed wire fence, so perfectly this morning.

I couple of shots from following this little Ruby-crowned Kinglet in the tree off the front porch.

Spring is officially here!

I sat out back for a while this afternoon and this hungry little bugger just didn't care, he was having lunch.

That's fantastic, it's so wild to me how far so many birds travel twice a year. I feel like I need to set up some sort of Live Stream Camera looking at this tree, there are just so many different birds that sit in it. I also saw a Bald Eagle down on the ground next to the base of the tree and...

I went out for my morning stroll through the field next door, and to my surprise, a new bird I had never seen before. I'm new, so I'm sure others have seen them. American Kestrel

Not the best shot, slower shutter speed than I should have had, but such an interesting and distinct pattern in this, what I'm pretty certain is a Standard Red-Tail Hawk. It just had such dark feathers on it's back, it almost didn't even look real.
