Some Graphs Just Make It Clear

Film CL or new Digital CL? The rate of change in the Line-Up and high cost for new cameras and lenses might have something to do with it. I took out the Olympus E-P2 yesterday, it delivers good-enough results for most people. You can get a used body on Ebay for $75, less than 1/10th of the...

    Fall colors

The Olympus E-P2 with it's then state-of-the-art SVGA resolution EVF came out 10 years ago. I bought mine not too long after the debut, used it with adapted lenses. It also became my Video camera of choice, with a fast Nikkor 5cm F1.4 on it- was great at low-light. These are with a 55mm F3 Macro...

    For Critique Help with cropping

I prefer #1, much less empty space and closer to the "rule of thirds". This thread has a poll in it... "I Voted".

    Leica Showcase 7Artisans 75mm F1.25

First shot at F1.25, second at F4. Just to show I know how to use the aperture ring... If anyone went to see the new movie "Midway", this aircraft was the main one featured. An SBD Dauntless Dive-Bomber.

    Leica Showcase 7Artisans 75mm F1.25

This lens is sharp enough wide-open across range. Getting it calibrated perfectly for your camera will take a couple of tries: but it is worth the effort. $450 for this lens is 1/2 the price of the Voigtlander 75/1.5, and less than the price of the 75/1.8 used. It's less than the Tax in Virginia...

    Leica Showcase 7Artisans 75mm F1.25

I made it to the Marine Museum at Quantico today, shot with the 75/1.25 on the M9 and Canon 85/1.5 on the M Monochrom. I have the focus of this 7Artisans 75mm F1.25 spot-on with the M9. I'm using a 1.25x magnifier, I could not have focused the lens without it. These are wide-open. All are with...

"... so it's just normal for my age?"

My favorite Black t-Shirt has an F-101 Voodoo "Scope Doctor" on the back of it. I wear it on days when I'm doing a lot of O-Scope work in the Lab. Plus that plane and I were born the same year.

    Film Ricoh 500G

I found this set of pictures and instructions on FLICKR. https://www.flickr.com/photos/20489253@N05/5311602295/in/album-72157625593909893/ More difficult than most top plate removals- but looks do-able.

"... so it's just normal for my age?"

    >"When the hell did I buy so many khaki pants and, better yet, when did I start *wearing* khakis?!" Were they on big-time clearance sale, like 90% off or so... If yes, you are just spending the absolute minimum of money to stay covered. If they were not on sale, you should be ashamed of...

Film Polaroid PolaChrome - 35mm Instant Slide Film

This old thread popped up... I used Polaroid Film "back in the Day" for capturing computer graphic output. It was very dense, difficult to project. I probably have the development hardware somewhere in the basement. I replaced it with a Dye-Sublimation printer. That was awesome- Tektronix...
