    Fuji Fuji's ISOless sensor

Any ISO that's not the base ISO is digital gain or amplification. There exists some point below which in-camera gain works better than post processing software, and after which pp software does it better than in-camera. 800 may well be that point for the two cameras you mentioned. Rigorous...

Fuji Fujifilm X-T1 vs. Leica T

Ha...I was looking for such a comparison. Thanks.

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

Agreed. Though I tend to push my (photography) gear to its limits. The motorcycle on the other hand, stays well within its limits.

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

I wish I got to use MF more often (only get to do it two or three times a year). The car analogy is curious, because unlike cameras you don't often get to use your car to the max. Also bring need (vs want) into the equation leads to some interesting queries, especially considering...

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

My take away from that brief interview is that FF is on Fuji's radar (or in the crosshairs), but it's nothing to worry about for the next few (several?) years.

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

Toshihisa Iida (senior sales and marketing manager at Fujifilm) briefly talks about the high and professional end of the market being the focus for Fuji rather than the low end. Full interview here. Q. "Do you you want to compete against professional full-frame cameras?" A. "Inevitably yes...

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

But it isn't all about speed, is it? Undoubtably, it's about speed for most but I *like* a manual shifter. I like the experience of it. Enjoying the experience of a thing is key for me. I like manual focusing. (Un)fortunately [depending on your point of view] my manual focus glass is...

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

Exactly. Less than a year ago, it was wishful thinking to expect a crop sensor mount being used for a FF sensor. In any case, Fuji's on record stating they'll eventually compete in the FF market. I think this is still a few years away.

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

They can, if the lens don't have autofocus motor and or image stabilization. Would I buy into such a system? Yes I would. In fact, I already have. Does this makes sense for the overwhelming majority of photographers, probably not.

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

Because there's a lot of demand for small FF sensor camera that can accept virtually any lens ever made, at least in the online community. --- --- --- There are issues. Some of those issues (color smearing) also exist in Leica bodies but Leica bodies correct for these; with the Sony, a...

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

There certainly seems to a lot pent up demand for a compact FF camera body that accepts RF lenses. My dream FF camera would have the size advantage of the Leica M/Sony A7, Fuji control layout for main controls (the dials) combined with Leica's subtle enhancements (being able to disable the...

Fuji Another Fuji Full-Frame X camera rumor?

I would love to see anyone but especially Fuji make a camera with a sensor designed specifically for rangefinder type (read Leica) lenses. Leica is miles ahead in this regard, and I don't know if it makes sense for Fuji (or anyone else) to put in R&D to design a sensor based around a third...

Fuji In need of advice... E-M5/E-M1 vs X-T1 vs A7.

Ray...your price breakdowns are accurate. But. Every time I price out a Fuji X-T kit and and a EM1 kit, the Fuji ends up being quite a bit cheaper. So I made my comment based on it. What I didn't realize was that I always include three flashes with the Oly kit and don't with the Fuji ('cause...

Fuji In need of advice... E-M5/E-M1 vs X-T1 vs A7.

Among other things to consider is the huge advantage Olympus/EM1 has with it's excellent (and probably industry leading) image stabilization tech, which claws back some of the high ISO advantages other systems have over the EM1. You should get the camera which feels best in yours hand, the one...

Fuji In need of advice... E-M5/E-M1 vs X-T1 vs A7.

There isn't a bed camera in the three cameras you (OP) mentioned. They have different strengths (A7-full frame; EM1-speed and world class environmental seals; XT1-amazing lenses priced well below their competition), and weakness (though no major weakness apart from the dismal lens selection for...
