<quote>Haven't seen you on here for so long that I was beginning to think that you must have legged it, on a permanent basis!</Quote> Hi Porchard, Aye I've been gone a while, TBH I've not used the camera much of late, a lot of family stuff going on so not really had any inclination to take...

    Sony Showcase Rx100 images

3 from my holiday in Corfu 2 weeks ago. Most shots I took were in auto, couldn't be too bothered using manual etc, either suffering from hangovers or still half drunk during the day :dance3:

Sony New to the Compact Camera thing

As said above regarding the RX100 but why don't you have a look through this thread >>> Sony Showcase - Rx100 images and let the results speak for themselves. I think its a safe bet to say most of the photos are pretty much straight out of the camera without a lot of processing in the likes of...

Sony Trade my m4/3 stuff for an RX100 II?

Seems to be getting more common these days more people downsizing to lighter gear. Must be the advances of camera technology getting smaller and better quality. Wonder how long it will be before they invent a tiny camera to fit in your shirt pocket with the same specs and quality as Canon 1D and...

Sony Trade my m4/3 stuff for an RX100 II?

I don't shoot events or anything professionally, first got rid of dslr, L lens cos I was fed up lugging heavy stuff around and moved down to m4/3, got the GF1 when it first came out, added another couple of lenses to that incl' the 100-300 when that appeared, great kit but I was slowly getting...

Sony Is Record format 60i ok for UK televisions?

Thanks for that, I've given him some info on grey imports, I don't think Amazon UK should be sending out equipment not designed for the UK market to a UK address unless specifically requested to. I also wonder since it is a grey import what the situation would be if it needed a repair under...

Sony Is Record format 60i ok for UK televisions?

Visiting a relative today I had not seen in a while and he told me he bought a RX100 Mk1 from Amazon UK 2 or 3 months ago for use in the UK. He was asking me about some settings on it, while showing him I noticed in the video settings it was showing 60i while my own RX100 UK version is 50i...

    Sony RX100 and sensor dust

Your welcome Pete, I've seen a couple of other makes and IMO this is the best grips by far and it still fits in the shirt pocket, neater looking too. You have to send to the USA for it, delivery took about a week. I always have the wrist strap wrapped around my wrist, that with the grip keeps...

    Sony RX100 and sensor dust

Had mine since a few weeks after the Mk 1 came out, Mostly it lives in a case but it has also sat on my desk for weeks on end uncovered, it has been in my jeans pockets, shirt pockets without it's case, been exposed to dusty environments and still never had any dust issues on the sensor. If it...

Sony RX100 images corrupted along top and bottom edges

I had something similar to this a few years ago on a old camera, turned out it was something faulty on the SD card, can you try another card to see if the problem remains before looking for sensor or Lightroom problems?
