I could be tempted to pickup another XP1 with the 35mm and use it alongside my OMD, although in the long run would need to get rid of one of them!

Good review, I can't argue with anything he's said really. I did feel the XP1 was a firmware update or two away from being perfect and I'm sure with the improvements we've seen on the X100 that they will come. But for me the OM-D fitted my needs better for now... that said I will keep a close...

I'd agree with you its not easy but its better on the OMD than it was on my EP2, even just being able to set a shortcut for the magnified view is a step up from the EP2. I do think the focus peaking in the NEX is ideal for legacy glass but on a native front I feel the NEX is lacking v the OMD...

I picked up a Fuji XP1 and didn't really like it as much, traded it the 35mm and 18mm for this kit as someone fancied trying the XP1, couldn't be happier with the OMD, its excellent with the HLD6 grip

Well I've ended up with an OMD!! and I've managed to get a wide native glass collection with it (9-18mm, 14mm, 25mm & 45mm) so will likely only use legacy glass for longer stuff (Konica 135mm) the stabilised EVF makes it wonderful to use!

Wow, cracking lineup, I had listed my XP1 for sale as I need something wider but might reconsider waiting now.

Would also consider trades, perhaps for an A77, D7000, K-5, NEX-7 or OMD.

For me M4/3 probably has lived up to its promise, especially with the GX1 and OMD, it seems that both finally have a much improved sensor over the older Pens which is where it was lagging behind in particular the NEX. For me M4/3 is the only Compact System which has anywhere near a wide enough...

Well I've given the X-Pro 1 a try and frankly its the best camera I've ever had, handling is amazing and the IQ is just second to nothing I've had (never owned a FF camera though....) As much as I love it and the 35mm lens (which is astounding!!) I've tried the 18mm lens and just don't...

Not sure whats missing to be honest, aside from perhaps some of the more "automated" features and modes like an HDR Mode

I potentially think there is scope for an X-Pro and NEX in my kit, aside from having inbuilt IS I'm not sure that the OMD has any other advantage over the NEX 7 for legacy glass, it seems to be certain that with focus peaking the NEX is the best for older glass at present. Sent from my...

I'm with you Ray I can see a use for both and while I can't see myself picking up an OMD to go with the X-Pro anytime soon I could be tempted to pickup one of the other Pen (or Panasonic) bodies eventually. That said I'd probably re-add an X100 to my collection if I want something pocketable!
