Hello Hal, I had the same question, being a new RX100-iii (model 3) user. The answer/key seems to be whether the camera is shooting in RAW (versus JPEG). If you shoot JPEG then digitial zoom becomes available. Try it and let me know if it works. dkh

Newbie RX100 question here ... Is the RX100 camera capable of taking multiple exposures (ie. multiple exposures in a single frame like Nikon and some late model Canon DSLR's) ? An addendum question is, I understand that applications can be loaded (?) onto the RX100 ... can such an application...
