Good work. Eventually it becomes second nature and bokeh is everywhere
The following photo was simply taken with Intelligent Auto mode on the NEX 5, 18-55mm kit lens. I believe ISO was pretty high at 1600.
The 18-55 at $150 is a great price. It's not the best of lenses, but at least it has autofocus, which is handy for everyday use. Imagine trying to manually focus all the time with people around... what a nightmare.
I'd still buy a third party lense down the track for more professional shots...
I read about this on dpreview a couple of weeks ago and tried it. Been using it ever since. It works great, although I get some weird stares... LOL.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Dan

However, when I lift up my flash, the shutter speed improves slightly. However, the shutter...
Thanks for the comments and tips everyone. I just read about the Fuji x100. They managed to squeeze in a viewfinder. Styling is old school.

Hi All,
Just joined today. Got my NEX about 5 weeks ago and have been taking lots of photos. Great compact. I get teased by hardcore DSLR users all the time. But hey, it's compact and takes great shots. Am currently looking at buying either a Nikkor lense or Carl Zeiss lens to go with it...
