Fuji Highlight Shadow setting in camera for RAW?

Rico, I'm not sure what you mean. I have the EVF set so that I can see the model in the studio. That usually means no picture effect so that the camera will brighten the EVF sufficiently to see for composition. Its the review on the LCD that is important to have as close as possible to what I...

Fuji Highlight Shadow setting in camera for RAW?

Thanks Rico. This will certainly help. I did a studio session the Sunday after my GFX50s arrived and since I always have my cameras set for raw capture didn't think about what the LCD would look like. Whatever the default was was way too contrasty and saturated. It made it hard for me to have...

Fuji Highlight Shadow setting in camera for RAW?

I recall an article or post a couple of years ago that described the best setting in camera so that the thumbnail viewed on the LCD would be most similar to what one could expect as the default when importing a RAW file into Lightroom or other software. I'm thinking similar setting will help...

    Fuji X-Mount Tilt/Shift

Try to find an adapter that will work with a manual focus, manual aperture lens. One major advantage of the tilt is to help the aperture with depth of focus.

Fuji Classic Chrome for the X-E2

Lightroom 6 should have the same camera profiles as ACR 8.8. Not sure if Adobe will also update the camera profiles in 5.7. Probably not.

Fuji Why no auto ISO when Ap and Shutter spec'd?

What I am asking is: If DR is set to 200% and then bracketing is turned on, the effective exposure for the three frames will be; 0EV -1EV (DR) = -1EV, +1EV -1EV (DR) = 0EV, and -1EV plus -1EV (DR) = -2 EV. Yes? No? Bracketing won't work when using DR greater than 100%?

Fuji Why no auto ISO when Ap and Shutter spec'd?

The DR 200% means 0,-1,-2 EV bracket right? Is there any way to get the bracket to over expose using Auto ISO and bracket? Sounds like not. BTW, Rico the XT-1 book is great, as is the XE2 book.

Fuji Fuji XF 50-140 first impressions or review coming?

I am looking forward to the 50-140. In my view, it, the 55-200 and 18-135 have completely different uses. I'm probably going to keep all three. The 55-200 is a nice small lens with nice reach. A great combination. Even better when paired with 18-55 and XE2 as a travel kit. The 18-135 is ideal...

Fuji Travel Photography Kit - 10-24mm or 14mm?

As a way to help you decide, here is what happened to me on a trip to Panama in January. I took 18-55, 55-200, 18, 35, 60 along. I also had X Pro1 and X E2. I shot 95% of the images with 18-55. Sure primes are nice, but the Fujinon Zooms are sharp and easy to use. Perfect to travel when you may...

    Fuji 10-24 - Why f/4?

What I like about the 10-24 is its versatility as a walk about lens. It saves me having to carry and change between a really wide and a kind of wide lens on the street. I can shoot architecture at the 10mm setting and details as well as people if it strikes my fancy. More of from this walk...

    Fuji Lens Hoods

One thing to consider; the screw on slotted lens hoods. I like them much better than the Fuji provided hoods. Smaller less obvious, still some protection. The 55-200 Fuji hood is a big long tube, the 18-55 Fuji hood is a flower petal type that's almost as long as the lens. The slotted hoods I...

    Fuji Photo Ninja for X-Trans

I have been looking at some images shot with an X Pro1 in Photo Ninja, ACR-RC (CC) and Irident. I just don't see any significant difference between the three. These are images shot in Panama of jungle foliage from a small boat on the Gatun Lake. Is there a significant difference in the XE2...

    Fuji Fujifilm xf 56mm f/1.2 r lens

Shot this with XE2 and 56mm through the window from a ballroom of the Hyatt at the Mart in Chicago. I think it was about F8, ISO 200 and A so shutter was somewhere about 1/500. Some work in Lightroom but nothing outlandish. Link to a couple others including B&W options on a couple...
