Above photo with Rx1 35mm 2.8
Preordered a new Sony A7R3 after my RX1 broke :-(
So instead of buying a old Sony RX1r2
I opted for the new A7R
Question is, what will be my first lens and how close can I come to the RX1 in image quality and most important to me, micro contrast.
“..RF lenses are designed for cameras with a short Flange distance- they are close to the sensor..”
.but the short flange distance of Leicas is greater than the very short flange distance of the Sony A7 ‘FE’ (and A9) cameras. That’s why an adapter can be fitted between Leica-fit lenses and the...
Beautiful shots, love the look.
Thanks for the link to your Flicker.
I am off to stare at your photos in the Nokton folder.
Now this lens isn't a M mount right?
Its for DSLR's specifically F or FX mount it seems.
With Cpu contacts?
So it doesn't need any modifications.
Could be the...
Right but do these lens also need uhm sensor modification as LensHacker stated, to function properly with digital bodies?
That was completely new to me.
Since I have never used RF lens on a digital body.
Closest I have done is Canon on a Sony body.
Or Nikon on Canon bodies.
And it didn't look...
4?! But of course.
Do these types of lens work with a A7r series or do they also need modifications, that I just discovered.
Oh man. This is getting more difficult to settle on. A Vintage lens education could take forever.
Incredible snap especially with the older Zeiss. What a glow and pop and crackle yet still sublime.
Makes me want to get a cat. Almost lol
But I see what u mean by the more modern look in the first shot.
What a great way to gain insight into older lenses and their qualities.
And thanks for the links.
I will have to look closely at these photos but at first impressions they seem very modern looking.
Or maybe thats just my eye?
I had no idea I was opening such a can of issues when I was hoping for RF quality on a Sony moment body.
So much for an easy...
Wow, thanks for the great information.
Kinda thrashes my hopes, for getting that Leica POP from a Sony with Leica lens or manual RF lens.
But that could save me ALOT of money!
And it does make sense that perhaps the Sony wouldn't get the full quality from manual lens meant for Leica range...
Yeah, that suggestion certainly has merit.
And Have been trying that.
I don't think the 35mm F2 has very good sharpness, while the 16mm is pretty good.
I would like an overall sharper photo than what I am getting from Fuji, and more like my other Nikon and Sony files.
That said I am NOT a...
The Fuji Jpg's tend to SMOOTH out the worms and often produces waxy skin or smudging especially at higher ISO's
So, I would assume the engineers are aware of it.
Though not in the way they are in Aliens: Covenant!
