@IanE seems to be the only who hasn't had problems connecting to OI Share. I just tried to connect OI Share to my OM-1 to see if it could do the firmware update as others have said it can. Tried to do the Easy Setup, but the camera won't even focus on the QR code, so I tried the WiFi address and...
(Hahaha... I just noticed that @DaveJP and I used almost exactly the same words. No, I didn't read his post before writing this. I swear these are my own words. Great minds think alike, eh?)
I agree with you about overlapping focal lengths. I like to have some overlap so you're not forced to...
Most of the commenters seem to be thinking of an ILC camera. I was thinking that what the OP might be wanting is a smallish fixed zoom lens compact that he can get a good grip on so that he can truly use it one handed and can manipulate the zoom and most controls with the same hand without...
I just got a hardcover edition of this book. I read the first few chapters of the eBook and decided I wanted to keep reading it when I have to return it (to a waiting list). I made some dives with the Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory folks so I know the people involved and the operations...
I had a 50-200 SWD which I used with an EM1 and the MC-14 teleconverter when I was photographing kids soccer games. Able to get close and the photos looked great. The weather sealing was very handy during games in the rain. I was able to use C-AF to track and focus on running kids. I was pretty...
I understand that the 50 f2 macro is quite slow in AF and it needs a supplemental extension tube to get to 1:1. It goes 1:2 by itself. Still, I've heard that people like it. I almost got one, but am sticking to my MZD 60 f2.8 macro.
Nam Ing was truly an exceptional photographer. His photos of Yosemite and the "firefall" waterfall were just amazing. You could tell he cared greatly about the places he photographed. Rest in peace, Nam.
Good thing he wasn't in the part of Greece that's being overrun by wildfires. Yikes!

Great photos. It appears that you used the 8-25 as a walkaround lens. That is, using the 8-25 over it's full range, rather than switching at 12 - 25 to the 12-100. Imagine if OM Systems made an 8-40 f4 Pro. Wouldn't that be the perfect walkaround travel lens? :)
BTW, Benro recently announced their Cyanbird travel tripod, which looks like direct competition for the Peak Design travel tripod, but at less than half the price. Even less with the aluminum version. Benro makes good stuff, so I'm pretty sure this is no cheap knock-off of the Peak Design. It...
The 40-150 f4 Pro is a good combination with a 12-40 f2.8 or 12-45 f4, especially the latter. With the 12-100, not so much. :)
Ditto your comment about tripods though. Although I spent some time and money trying to settle on a good travel tripod, I found that I just didn't bring it along very...
I guess I flew on H's. They were recently replaced (after some 50 years of service) with J's. I had a lot of faith in those C-130s. Impressive planes.

I dunno what models, but I flew on USCG C-130s several times from Honolulu to Kure Atoll and back. Long flights, since the USCG also performed fisheries patrols on the way up and back. We froze at high altitude and roasted at low altitudes on the 1,400 mile trip. On one flight, we stopped at...
Betraying my age... I remember flying on Hawaiian Airlines DC-3s and Aloha Airlines Fokker F-27s as a kid. Hawaiian switched to the Convair after they phased out the DC-3. I used to like sitting near the wing on those Fokkers and watch the main wheels retract and extend. Those were great for...
