If the pinch point is at the forward end of the chainstays, itā€™s likely they can be dimpled or spread to increase tire clearance. Iā€™ve not done this myself but itā€™s fairly commonly done (on steel frames) especially these days when weā€™re all trying to squeeze in bigger tires. I bet there are...

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Desires Big and Small

Agreed! Bikes are a far better match for my wallet and mechanical abilities. I did one gnarly off-road in my Tacoma, but was too afraid of breaking down in the middle of nowhere; thinking of $1000 towing charges plus repair bills, not to mention a seriously annoyed wife...

Sonoma County California, photo taken yesterday. My father built the front shed 45 years ago. I pulled off the blackberry canes that were engulfing it. The garage behind was built by my motherā€™s brothers in the 1920ā€™s to house the familyā€™s new automobile. The tank house in the background is...

I like your analogy, and think the 'zooming with your feet' somehow parallels the the three 'gears' on a single-speed bike, related to hill steepness: sitting, standing, and walking :)

Some tire sidewalls aren't very impervious and are known to leak air and weep sealant. I've tilted the tires horizontally and sloshed the sealant up on the sidewalls which seems to help, but still notice small dots of sealant collecting on the sidewalls, and have to top off the tubeless tires...
