Fuji All things being equal - Fuji XF 35mm f1.4 or Zeiss Touit 32mm f1.8

I did a comparison a while back. Basically: Touit is sharper at wide apertures, Fuji is sharper stopped down, IMO, Fuji has better bokeh and is, of course, faster. If you desire cross frame sharpness at f/1.8, then the Zeiss is probably the best bet, otherwise, I think the Fuji ticks more...

Finally tracked down this little hidden waterfall. X-T1 with 55-200:

Star Trails and the Milky Way

I went a ways out of town in the middle of the night last night to try and get some cool shots of this 'big meteor shower'. I woke up at 1:30AM and drove an hour outside the city to get away from the light pollution. Unfortunately, there were hardly any meteors (you can see one in the star...

    Fuji X-T1 focusing glitch?

All X series cameras are AF only in any of the advanced filter modes. Why? I couldn't say, but it's a conscious decision rather than a glitch.

    Long Exposure City

Here are two from this afternoon. Fun with ND filters. This is with two stacked NDs, a 10 stop and 3 stop, for 13 total stops reduction, allowing for multi-minute exposures in bright afternoon sunlight. Both with the 14mm f/2.8 3 minutes, 30 seconds @ f/22 2 minutes, 5 seconds @ f/16

    Conkle's Hollow and Rock Bridge

Got a chance to actually go out and shoot this morning. Got up early and went to some spots I hadn't been before. I got to Conkle's Hollow just after sunrise, though by the time I got to Rock Bridge, the sun was high and the light somewhat harsh. I planned on HDR for all the Rock Bridge...

    Documentary Style Birthday

Picture barrage: My daughter's birthday party. With the blah light and the way things were laid out, I liked a B&W documentary style for this one (though a few I may reprocess in color to stand on their own). All with the 23/1.4 and 56/1.2:

    Fuji X-E2/X-T1 functionality

I've had really good success with tracking on the X-E2. It had a pretty high (though not perfect) hit rate even when shooting my son rushing towards me pushing a bin, while indoors using the 56/1.2 wide open. He was moving quite steadily at me in both these shots. He was crawling...

    My X-T1 photos got published!!

I'm on my third. My first had the AF clutch fail and my second started breaking apart in the middle of the lens body. Third looks to be perfect, though. Been shooting with that one for three weeks now.

    First Engagement session with X-T1

These are fantastic. Outstanding work. I saw the first two and thought...wow, those are definitely the keepers. Then they just kept Coming....all great.

Fuji Have you received your X-T1 and what do you think?

That sucks! I tested the X-T1 for a week about a month ago and loved it. Need to sell some things and pick one up. Getting itchy for that viewfinder again.

Fuji Why did Fuji decide not to equip us with IS in 56mm f/1.2 lens?

Yes, but 'standard lens' in photography is understood to be synonymous with 'normal lens', or a lens with a focal length similar to the diagonal of the sensor. Normal lens - Wikipedia
