GAS: Please Share your Latest Desires Big and Small

A lot of people I know seem to be getting the DSLR itch again! As for myself, there are times when I like shooting DSLRs over MILCs. Also I've enjoyed the simplicity of just using single point focus AF and recompose!

Why we should pay for Flickr.

I forgot about the outside world! :roflmao: jk In that case, Flickr isn't so bad. Saying that, they really need to add more customization. For example, I can't customize individual albums to have separate download permissions. In fact there isn't much control besides controlling copyright...

Why we should pay for Flickr.

If you have an Amazon Prime account, cloud storage and private gallery links are included in your subscription with unlimited photo storage. Flickr loses big time in that aspect next to Amazon. I tend to use Flickr to research different cameras and lenses since I can examine EXIF data. I've been...

Why we should pay for Flickr.

I pay for Flickr Pro, but I'm also considering paying for SmugMug services. I only have enough funds for one or the other. If SmugMug figures a way to combine both even if it's at a slightly higher rate, I'd consider it. Where it stands now, I'm not sure I'll be maintaining my Flickr account...

Film If you could only have one (film) camera for the rest of your life?

Because it's not a film camera! :D For film bodies I'd probably go with an FM3A or maybe an F6. I'm a Nikon guy! :)

    Bokeh is overrated...

Based on FF DSLR equipment, I buy my lenses based on usage. For example, I'll buy 2.8 zooms because I know I'll be shooting in low light conditions where I can't control my position in relation to the subject (ex: stage performances, sideline sports). I'll buy 1.4 primes when I need absolute...

Fuji X-E3 vs Oly Pen F

I'd stick with the 12-32mm. I've probably bought ten copies of the 14mm 2.5 lens and I always sell them! Plus I think the 12-32mm focuses a tad faster. The Pan 15mm 1.7 is a nice lens though, and I like it better than the 17mm 1.8!

Flickr Pro Membership 25% Off Discount Code

Did you check your spam filter? I received an email a month prior to my renewal. The second email was definitely cringeworthy and definitely wasn't worded in the best possible way. If Flickr was too much of an undertaking for them, they should of not bought it in the first place.

Flickr Pro Membership 25% Off Discount Code

I really enjoy Flickr, mainly as a repository of various sample images of different cameras and lenses. I pay for a Pro membership myself. Unfortunately, I don't see how they'll make money based on subscriptions only. Maybe they should place ads on the site, but if you're a subscriber you don't...

Nikon Getting drawn back to Nikon DSLRs & old F-mount lenses!

    * Cross posted at Fred Miranda, but I think it applies here as well! Lately I've been getting drawn to the low prices of DSLRs and old F-mount lenses. For example when I had tested the Z6, A7III and D750, the D750 surprisingly had sharper OOC raws over the Z6 and was not too far behind the...
