Sony Grab bag for my RX1R

I recently picked up a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack - its pretty much perfect for a RX1/r. I went with the Jumbo vs the regular size, because all it really does is add a water bottle holder, which works really well for a speedlight or something like that. The bag fits the RX1 + any accessories I...

    Sony I miss a viewfinder

Exactly this. I loooove the articulating viewfinder. It is just so incognito, most of the time people have no idea you're taking a photo - I find this super useful with friends, as they're always on the lookout for me to take a picture... and even after all these years of reinforcing the...

    Sony RX1 Water protection?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has found a suitable water bag or housing for the RX1, that isn't the $2500 Rec Sea housing? I can find all sorts of bags for the RX100, and two solid housing systems for the RX100, but absolutely NOTHING for the RX1. It isn't so much that I want to dive...

Sony RX1 as a purchase today compared to new a6000

The thing that both the A7/r and a6000 lack is a leaf shutter. By itself, the leaf shutter sync speed sets the RX1 as being completely unique, and for me, irreplaceable at the moment. That said, I also have a nice dslr system for the times that I need other focal lengths.

    Sony Count me in.

I got a B&W 3-stop ND for bright sunlight shooting with a speedlight @f2. Works great, though 4-stops would probably help in some places. I've have a B&W ND400 for longer daytime exposures. A 10 stop ND would be nice for this....I still have yet to get a circular polarizer for it though, that is...

what is causing this my 'banding' problem?

Wow, I have not seen that issue before - I've gotta say I too would be frustrated as all hell!!! One of my favorite things about this camera is the way the sensor draws transitions between tones and shades.... I'm sorry to see you've got this problem! I too would be interested in taking a look...

Was out celebrating a birthday for a close friend of my girlfriends, and my girlfriend wanted to give me some crazy eyes. I'm regularly impressed by this camera, it is such a fantastic little machine. ISO 12,800, f2, 1/125

    Sony Rear Sync

Well, that's incredibly stupid. Got on Sony online customer support, and apparently for Sony, rear-sync is TTL dependent. They consider it an 'automatic' feature. So, for anyone that is ever interested in using this, just know that there is absolutely no way to do so without Sony speedlights. Ugh.

    Sony Rear Sync

I know I asked this a month or two ago when I first got my RX1, but has anyone been able to get this to work? I'll set it in the flash drive mode I can only get it to work with the built-in flash. As far as I'm aware, rear-sync doesn't require any TTL communication, and is literally the camera...

I've been using PocketWizard Plus 3's reliably at 1/1250" with Canon 600EX-RTs! I've still yet to try using any Sony flashes with the built-in wireless triggering to see if you can go any faster, but I'd sure love to.
