Today I was playing with some handheld nature close-ups. This really isn't the lens for that - I like its character but it's not really very sharp at minimum focus, especially wide open. It was still fun making some snapshots of my neighbors' tree.

Posting late. Unexpectedly had to drive out of state yesterday. Stopped for a late lunch at a local “buffet” restaurant in a small town somewhere in Missouri. Though I made this photo while no diners were at the buffet, the place was hopping at 3pm. iPhone snap.

Roamed a couple back alleys today, but didn't come up with much I liked. Including this, haha.

Tried my grandma's old recipe for "slightly out of focus flapjacks" today. They were a bit ugly, and indeed slightly out of focus as you can see, but they tasted pretty good.
