I could almost just live with just a 16mm ultrawide, and a 600mm super tele, and be happy. And probably could sacrifice the tele, if needed. That's a little tough with the 1 series of course, but the wide zoom is actually pretty darn good (for my uses), so if I can find a decent fisheye...

Yep. Alas, though I am a big fan of fisheye's, the low quality and weight of this thing means it won't become a part of my kit.

just arrived. um, where is the "no lens" setting on the V1?? since there are no electrical contacts, the V1 doesn't think there is a lens on it. looks like the trick is to just use manual. which means I really only have exposure to adjust. everything seems to shoot at iso 100 even...

That's interesting. So, not that one really needs auto focus on a fisheye, something like the "Minolta AF 16mm F2.8 FishEye" with Sony's pricier a-mount adapter would be fully automatic on the A7?

Agreed. I cannot fathom a camera without a viewfinder but since the OP was selecting between two without viewfinders....

So new it's old, or so old it's new. I should post a photo of the full frame olympus I have. Bought it for $30 at a garage sale....

I'd go with the J3, shoot RAW, and post process to get whatever kind of jpeg you like.
