Actually it's getting weirder by the month. Historically Down Under we have waited for ever for gear, but it seems that lately stock is available here even before the USA. Strange indeed.

Just picked up X-t1/56mm combo from Sydney. Don't ask me how as they're back ordered to 2024 in most places. The camera is, is a word, astonishing. The 56mm is even better. Phenomenal, and this from a bloke who admires the Canon 50L above all other lenses. It may well be relegated to #2 spot...

Very true. Blazing fast AF. I would, but it's a long way from Sydney to New York just to visit a camera store...:)

Easy choice for capturing little kids: Olympus E-M1/45mm combo. My kids are grown but we have 3 little grandsons who are live wires. (Substitute E-M5/45mm if cash is a problem.) Uber fast focussing, yet excellent image quality up to ISO 3200. Just my two bobs' worth of opinion. :)

These now photos are awesome. Send some (snow) Down Under if you get the chance...:)
