The beaches are amazing - I wish we would have had more than 1 sunset during the 7 days. The rest of the time we had heavy cloud banks.
We had a nice house rented in MoClips on the beach - a nice relaxing trip with a few photo ops tossed in :)
Hi everyone,
Last year I used nothing but my Nikon V1 to explore Alberta A Chance Encounter | Western Alberta
This year I used my X Pro with basically two lenses (18-55 and a nikon 105/4 macro).
A Chance Encounter | Washington State
Which do I like better - BOTH
But for pure...
Thanks.
Regarding blowing out reds, I need to exposure to the left a tad. I would rather try and recover from shadows rather than bring down highlights. This shot is purposely underexposed from what the meter said I should do. I do the same with my Nikons.
i am looking at the really right stuff L bracket for my X Pro 1 (it includes a handgrip as well as the L Bracket (it is removable). But it depends on your shooting style. I tend to use a tripod a lot.
Got a chance to play a bit Saturday with my new X Pro 1. I am amazed at the jpg rendering of the greens. A bit of noise is present at 800 ISO.
As everyone else has said this is not a camera for beginners, be patient and it will reward you... My keeper rate wasn't terribly high this...
Had a meeting in Austin on Thursday so Wednesday night went by Enchanted Rock...
Here are a few snapshots A Chance Encounter | Enchanted Rock
As always, feel free to add comments....
Not the greatest but not quite as naturally pretty as Banff :)
I am planning on keeping my V1 kit as an ultra light weight hiking solution (see A Chance Encounter | Western Alberta ) for some shots in July. The FT-1 with the 70-200 makes a great wildlife option too.
That being said I am probably going to sell off my DX stuff to fund an XP1....at least...
