Thanks I really like how that one came out as well.

Nature The Yukon and British Columbia

When I saw signs about Sheep in the area I got excited but didn’t put much hope in seeing any that would be close enough to photograph. Well… I came across two Rams a little ways off the road and decided to give it a try to get close enough for photos. Took me close to an hour to get close...

Nature The Yukon and British Columbia

So I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Ely, Minnesota (gather data for a September Boundary Waters trip) on day 12 of a 14 day trip from Anchorage, Alaska to Flint Michigan. My two days in Ely are the only time I have used a hotel, the rest of the trip has been all camping. Needless to...

LR AI DeNoise vs Topaz AI DeNoise

A month or so ago, I needed some help to rescue some portraits I had done during a Northern Lights tour. After downloading several different trials, I ended up going with Topaz Photo AI. I found it to work really well on people in my portraits as well as for my Northern Light Photos. But I was...

Advice Wanted Second Curtain shutter and the OMD E-M1X

What @comment23 posted above is the exact answer. I use Godox flashes, and it works as stated above. If you are not seeing it or the "Slow2" is grayed out, you will need a different transmitter.

    Micro 4/3 Thinking of switching 40-150 F2.8 to 40-150 F4

I really don't see why you would want those two lenses as a travel setup. I could see taking one or the other based on expected subjects, but taking both seems pretty redundant, given they are both ƒ4.0. The only difference is a bit of extra reach. You could carry the 12-40 ƒ2.8 and 40-150...

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

I have, and I will be getting it. That will help with some it, especially the balance with my bigger lenses like the 150/2. But the EM1X is just a touch wider than the OM1, and that little bit of extra size allows the buttons to be spaced out a lot better. The X also has a much better grip, a...

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

I have to agree with John on this one. There is probably little to no difference between Olympus and OM regarding weather sealing. They have just now actually tested it and given it a rating. Yes, I have dropped my gear in the swamp more times than I can count. My original EM1 was finally...

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

It really is an economic masterpiece. I plan on getting the grip, but that only helps with some of the size problems. Nothing to fix that the OM1 is just a little narrower than the X, which forces the buttons to be closer together. I know the size difference isn't much, but it is just enough...

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

Well, it has arrived... With dead batteries, I am impatiently waiting for them to charge so I can look for Gorgeous. Initial thoughts... It doesn't feel nearly as well made as my EM1X Dials are much harder to reach/turn than on my EM1X (going to make it even more difficult with even my...

No, but hopefully I will be photographing bear pupils soon :dance3:

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

There have been a couple of great aurora nights where you could see them down your way. I know recently I saw photos of them from Arizona and Colorado.

Honestly, if they don't come out with an OM1X I will probably switch systems in 2ish years (that is about how long I think until Canon/Nikon have done enough to entice me over).
