The first couple of editions of the Heliar are great fun of course but I would only use them natively on a rangefinder and even then on B&W images due to what Mike said (doesn’t put me off owning one though). For Z cameras I really would pay the extra and get a newer native copy.

It is. Really different to, say, the OM 50mm F1.8/ F1.4/F1.2 lenses and most definitely a keeper.
